China Six departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Industrial Water Efficiency Improvement Action Plan". It is proposed that by 2025, the national water consumption per 10,000 yuan of industrial added value will drop by 16% compared with 2020.
The industrial water-saving policy mechanism will be more complete, the water-saving awareness of enterprises will be generally enhanced, the water-saving production mode will be basically established, and a modernized pattern of coordinated development of industrial water use and development scale, industrial structure and spatial layout will be initially formed. The level of recycling of industrial wastewater will be further improved, and efforts will be made to achieve about 94% of the recycling rate of industrial water above designated size nationwide.
